There’s a new movie out! It’s called URBAN SMUT. And, just to make it clear right from the beginning: Ceci n’est pas un film de Meow Meow. But it’s a movie where many of our members and associates participated, and we just love the result!
It’s a film by Katy Bit, Finn Peaks, Jo Pollux, Candy Flip and Theo Meow – five old friends that met in Berlin’s indie smut scene and are active contributors ever since.
In 2019, they went for their first big collaboration: URBAN SMUT – an anthology of five short films with an urban, Berlin-based feel and stories emerging from each team member’s personal fantasies and lived experiences. Each of the five film makers was responsible to create one episode of the movie.
Over the course of 1,5 years, different ideas were born and screenplays written, performers and crew members were casted. Finally, a few production guidelines were agreed on: all individual films are created in mutual support by the team. Crew and cast members shall be treated fairly and respectfully. Visually, each movie aims to be of high aesthetic value and yet show explicit sex between different types of performers, queer and straight.
The result is a wild mix of sexual practices portrayed: cruising, erotic wrestling, masturbation, overpowering fantasies and voyeurism. Ranging from vanilla to BDSM, from playful to rough, from flirting to fistfighting: the episodes have one thing in common: sex outside the bedroom.
URBAN SMUT premiered in October 2020 as the opening film of Pornfilmfestival Berlin – and now it’s up for sale! On the project website UrbanSmut.com, it’s possible to watch the film. Don’t miss it!
